Development Delay

Developmental delay refers to a condition in which a child does not achieve age-appropriate milestones in areas such as speech and language, motor skills, cognition, social interaction, or physiotherapy. These delays may become noticeable in early childhood and can affect a child’s ability to communicate, move, learn, or interact with others.

At SYNAPSE Pediatric Neurodevelopment & Early Intervention Clinic, we emphasize early identification and comprehensive assessment to understand the root cause of developmental delays. Through structured evaluations, we assess multiple developmental domains to identify a child’s strengths, challenges, and specific support needs.

Under the guidance of Dr. Amola Khandwala, individualized, evidence-based intervention plans are created to support each child’s development. These may include speech therapy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder, behavioral guidance, and parent counseling tailored to the child’s unique needs.

With timely intervention and consistent follow-up, many children with developmental delays show significant improvement in skills, confidence, and independence. Our family-centered approach ensures that parents are actively involved and supported throughout the child’s developmental journey, helping achieve the best possible long-term outcomes.
